Testimonial – Carol – Spinal Stenosis Outpatient Surgery

Carol Ruland had spinal stenosis and lower back pain. She underwent an outpatient minimally invasive back surgery. This is her story.

CAROL'S STORY: Carol Ruland, 63, suffered from sciatica due to spinal stenosis resulting in low back pain and sever shooting pain down her legs. Conservative treatments such as spine epidural injections, physical therapy and PRP injections did not work and she continued to experience leg weakness and pain. A full work-up by Dr. Hooman Melamed determined that she had spinal stenosis, which was compressing the root of his nerve and sciatica which caused the radiating pain. Carol underwent a minimally invasive back surgery, all done as an outpatient and her back pain was gone following surgery.
