About this video

Rebecca Walser, a mother of four and large animal veterinarian, says she herniated her L5-S1 disc in 2008 and went through a painful pregnancy with it. She says Dr. Melamed operated a year later, and when the same disc herniated again years later, he did a revision surgery. She describes him as available, prompt and quick to answer texts and email.

I am a 41-year-old mother of four, and a large animal veterinarian. So I have a very active life. I herniated L5-S1 in 2008, and went through pregnancy, which was excruciating with a bad herniation. Dr. Melamed did surgery a year later, and fixed it overnight. I remember thinking, “I can’t believe I waited so long to have him fix my back.”

I re-herniated the same disc several years later, and he did a revision surgery which was also successful immediately. He’s always available. He’s prompt, friendly, answers texts and email. It’s been a very pleasant experience working with him, and his staff.
