Dr. Melamed Recognized as “Top Doctor” in the New York Times
On September 12, 2015 Dr. Hooman Melamed was recognized in the New York Times as a “Top Doctor” at Castle Connolly. The “Top Doctor” status is the highest honor awarded by Castle Connolly, a prestigious organization that is known as a trusted resource for consumers searching for leading healthcare providers. Dr. Melamed has received this designation for his outstanding skills as an orthopedic spine surgeon, extensive medical training, and extraordinary patient outcomes.
“Top Doctor” status is not given to just any doctor. Candidates must be nominated by their peers, in an extensive survey distributed to thousands of doctors across the country. The nominations then go through a tough screening process with the organization’s physician-led research team. Dr. Melamed has long been a well-known orthopedic spine surgeon and this designation is a reflection of how hard he has worked. Melamed is also a member of the Scoliosis Research Society. Through his dedication, he has helped hundreds of his patients recover fully from spinal-related injuries.
