Hooman M. Melamed, MD (DISC Sports & Spine Center, Marina Del Rey, Calif.). Dr. Melamed performs artificial disc replacements, stem cell therapies and motion-sparing procedures. Dr. Melamed has been the lead author on several published papers in peer-reviewed journals. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His additional training includes a spine fellowship at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
